We have been very busy at Walton hall park in the last few weeks. We have created new flower beds, one in the main wedding cake island. Last year we held a great community event and invited all the local children along to sow wild flower seeds in a new place. The flowers are now looking bloomin’ marvellous (excuse the pun)
It was also “lake day” last week and we introduced some water lilies into the big lake, this has never happened before but after lots of advice we thought this would help improve the lake. We also cleaned and litter picked the lake including clearing away the fishing line hooked onto the bushes and trees on the island that has been causing problems for our winged wildlife. The lakes are bow full of our cute new babies, and the proud parents are showing them off to our visitors.
We attended lots of events but one impressive one was the friends of the earth annual meeting which was full of advice and information but also a great chance to network and catch up with old friends.
We have also been working hard on new events that will be coming to the park in the next few months and we are all excited and working hard.
Our new Benches and Bins
We are so very proud to show you our new benches and bins. It has been a lot of hard work and negotiations with Liverpool city council and our group but at last we have six new benches and bins installed in the park, that is since 2004! That’s twelve years so you can imagine how excited we are and it was worth all those meetings. Well done to all our friends.

We all remembered the rose garden from years ago sadly it had been left to decay but we brought it back to life with all our volunteers who all put love and a lot of sweat and tears into the hard work and now it is our beautiful piece of heaven.
